Erase Signs of Aging with Botox

At Visione 360 and Vision Associates of El Paso, we're ready to answer your questions about aging and how Botox can prevent and correct signs of aging in your face – without dramatically altering your appearance.

How Botox Helps With Aging

Getting older is something we all have to face. Wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin are inevitable. Although we haven't found the fountain of youth, we do have proven treatments that dramatically reduce the effects of aging without taking drastic measures. Many treatments available today also help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. One of those treatments is Botox.

What Is Botox?

Botox is a medicine doctors inject into muscles that improve the look of crow's feet, forehead lines and any other visible signs of aging. Although many people are familiar with Botox and how it reduces wrinkles, many doctors use the treatment for medical problems like chronic migraines, eyelid twitching, excessive muscle contractions and crossed eyes.

The injections work by stopping your facial muscles from contracting. Essentially, the treatment relaxes your muscles by blocking the release of chemicals that cause those muscles to contract. When muscles contract, it creates wrinkles (which is how the treatment also helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles from forming).

How Does It Work?

When your doctors at Visione 360 and Vision Associates of El Paso use Botox treatment, they will administer a low dose directly into your facial muscles. After a few treatments, you'll notice a significant reduction in frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines.

Additionally, you won't see a difference in your appearance since the treatment only reduces muscle contractions. The only change you'll see is fewer wrinkles and creases between your brows, on your forehead or wherever you decide a Botox injection will erase the signs of aging.
